Sometimes we need to look towards the future. Since the creation of the first cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, many other cryptocurrencies have emerged to find their place in the Sun. Unfortunately, many will not make it in the next 10 years.
Let’s see which cryptocurrencies have the best chance of survival.
Everyone who is interested in cryptocurrencies, at least marginally, will certainly know about Bitcoin, Ethereum and Monero. These 3 cryptocurrencies have been with us for some time and it is therefore very likely that they will continue to be with us for a long time.
Regarding Bitcoin, it is quite clear that it is the largest and most popular cryptocurrency.
Ethereum has almost unlimited potential and its blockchain can be used for almost anything you can think of. Recently, Ethereum switched from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake, which again increased its popularity a little more.
Monero is an anonymous cryptocurrency that protects your privacy. Unfortunately, this is the reason why everyone who wants to regulate it has Monero in their sight first.
The person who created the cryptocurrency Polkadot in 2017 also worked on the ETH blockchain. It is a big project that has a future in the form of a scaling offer that is not currently available.
Another co-founder of Ethereum came up with the Cardano project. Cardano is primarily aimed at those who do not have access to decentralized or traditional finance and will offer a high degree of decentralization and scalability in the future.
Maybe some of you use the Brave browser, which offers you rewards in the form of BAT (Basic Attention Token). Brave is a very sophisticated web browser that appreciates your privacy. You get tokens for watching ads. However, you can turn this reward system off. Brave browser has a built-in ad blocker that deals with ads that track your movement on the internet.
And if you’ve ever heard of Theta, you have a very good overview. It is a decentralized streaming platform that allows you to stream quickly and securely. Again, this is a cryptocurrency that has great potential for the future.
PlatonCoin is a small altcoin now, but it has great vision of how to bring cryptocurrencies to the people, how to build communities from the local scale up and how to bring trust back again in the operations. Recently it was listed on prominent exchange, HitBTC and it is still evolving and growing.
These are some cryptocurrencies that have a great chance of succeeding in the future and gaining their place. What about you? Do you hold any of the cryptocurrencies mentioned above? Or are you interested in another cryptocurrency that we did not mention?
