This is a second part of our article about what will happen when the pandemic is over. Let’s take look at some more possible scenarios in the post-pandemic world. You can read the first part here.
Possible forms of digital tracking
The pandemic has shown us that being prepared is a necessity, and old plans that are dysfunctional will do more harm than good. Where countries like the US have failed to take action, East Asia has succeeded because of its vast experience with other pandemic situations. We could learn from their experience and implement some of the digital tracking methods that were proven to work well.
The threat of hackers
The more the world becomes digital, the more opportunities we give hackers to attack. Many people are afraid of hackers and have good reason to be. Following on from the previous point, there is a real fear of data misuse. In this case, it would be “not only” about the data, but also about human health. However here comes blockchain on the scene, which could help with data protection.
Further digitization and decentralization
With digitization, the number of rules that need to be followed on the Internet is also growing. In the past, however, there have been many violations of these rules, and the word “censorship” has often been heard. People can escape more into the decentralized sphere, where they will feel more free.
Wealth inequality will continue to grow
The situation that is ongoing now will continue to grow. People are losing more and more money and income inequality is growing. Automation, digitization and other processes in which companies try to reduce the number of employees will have a negative impact on people’s lives.
What you can do
As mentioned in the first part of our article, you can decide to use the time of the lockdown to learn more, to test new methods and new ways, to start with small amounts and try how everything works, for example digital currencies. If you are interested in digital currencies, now is a good time to try it out.
